Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a must do attraction when visiting in our area. Did you know that Busch Garden's has one of the fastest and tallest roller coaters in the world called "The Griffon"? This 205 foot tall roller coaster has a breath-taking 90 degree drop straight down at 70 mph and that's just the beginging. You'll have to ride it to expierence the rest. This European themed amusement park is divided into several countries such as Italy, Ireland, Germany, France and England. Each country displays it's own culture through exciting roller coasters, gourmet restaurants, challenging games and speality shops. They also feature live shows performed daily throughout the park by character actors and will occasionlly host famous bands, singers & other musicians from around the globe.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is currently closed but will re-open on March 22nd, 2013 at 9am and will stay open everyday for spring break until April 7th. After spring break, the park will be open on weekends only starting at 10am until May 24th which will start the summer season and Busch Gardens will then be open everyday until Sept 2nd, 2013. |

You and your family will relive American History while touring the Colonial Williamsburg historic area, the largest outdoor museum in the USA. There are original and restored 18th Century buildings, many open to tour, including the Governors Palace, fully restored to reveal their architectural splendor. Visit trade sites and talk to live interpreters dressed in colonial Costume. Children and adults may participate in special daily events, arts & crafts and live reenactments from periods in our nations history.
Be sure to visit the nearby Jamestown Settlement and Historic Yorktown, while visiting in the Williamsburg. Stand in the field where Lord Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington on Oct. 19, 1781 during the revolutionary war in Yorktown. Step aboard one of the three original ships which sailed into Jamestown over 400 years ago on May 14th, 1607. Tour inside the local museums and view the artifacts on display that were collected which reveal the secrets to the first permanent English Settlement in America. |
If you're planning a family vacation for spring or summer, be sure to stop in for a splash at Water Country USA, the largest outdoor water park on the east coast. This awesome park has exciting wet rides that will keep you cool on a hot summer day. There are several water slides, rafting slides, tubing slides, also a lazy river, dive shows, great food, and some nice shops with shirts, shorts & souvenirs. Water Country also features a huge wave pool surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs if you want to work on your tan or just relax.
The Water Country USA theme park is currently closed for the season but will re-open on Saturday May 17th, 2013 at 10am. The park will be open daily until Sept 2nd, 2013
